24-hour roadside service is included

Spaceships are regularly maintained and serviced however it’s important to know that if anything ever did go wrong (i.e. you leave lights on, and the battery goes flat) you have access to 24-hour roadside assistance. It’s very easy simply call 13 11 22 and help will be on its way to you.

This service is provided by NRMA (National Roads and Motorists’ Association) which has representatives all over the ACT and NSW so help will never be too far away.

Free airport transfers

Book for 21 days or more and we will pay for your transfer from the airport to our depots in Sydney, Cairns and Brisbane. (Direct bookings only - must be organised at time of booking)

Free after-hours pick-up and drop off

Now you can pick up and drop off whenever it suits you best. This free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns. You can select your preferred time on the quote when booking online.

The daily rate of your campervan is displayed, just like fees - if any - and the price of any extra accessories or insurance options you have selected. That total price will be the price you pay, no surprises when you arrive at our depot.

That means that things that other rental companies might charge you extra for, are all included at Spaceships.

• Kilometres or mileage: unlimited (we don't charge extra if you drive more).
• One-way: there's no fee for one-way trips, so you don't have to drive in a loop and finish at your starting point.
• After-hours pick-up: no fee for that, it is free so you can pick up your campervan 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Extra drivers: it is free to add an extra driver to your Spaceships booking.
• Young driver: no fee for that. Anyone 18 years or older with a valid driving licence can hire and drive a Spaceships campervan. And everyone pays the same low price, so there is no fee for young drivers.
• Sleeping gear: is included as well, from a comfy mattress to a fluffy duvet, it is included.
• Cooking gear: is also included. Everything you need to create a meal and eat it is included. Easy as.
• Updating or changing your booking: we don't charge a fee for making changes to your booking.

Good fuel economy

Spaceships campervans are based on the Toyota Estima model, so a real workhorse. These vehicles are made for many years of worry-free driving, no matter the distance. And as our mechanics treat each campervan like their baby, our campervans are well-maintained and in excellent condition.

Bond not taken

At Spaceships, we don't take the bond from your credit card or bank account. It is simply frozen on your credit card or debit card and won't leave your account. So it isn't a payment and you won't have to deal with any currency conversion fees. The bond is frozen on your card, which means it is reserved in case it is needed so you can't spend it. As soon as the campervan is returned in the same state as it left the depot, the bond will be released. As it never was a payment, you won't see a deposit or refund on your account. The money is just released and available for you to spend again. Easy and cost-effective.

Smart battery system

All campervans in the Spaceships Australia fleet come with a smart battery system. Some call it a dual battery system but it is actually a smart battery system. The system charges itself while you are driving so it if fully charged when you are entering a selected campsite to spend the night. The system powers the fridge/freezer of the campervan and makes sure there is always power left in the morning to start the vehicle again. Therefore, we call it a smart battery system instead of a dual battery system.

Travel together

Spaceships campervans come in various configurations. Some of our campervan categories can seat 2 people while others can seat up to 4 people. And by this, we mean belted seats in the vehicle.
